Meet the AMC Executive Director 

Eva Masadiego

With a rich background in non-profit leadership, operations and policy development, Eva Masadiego leads the AMC’s efforts to strengthen the Arizona-Sonora relationship. She oversees the AMC’s strategic priorities, including managing its binational committees, fostering partnerships, and promoting cross-border initiatives. Eva serves as a key liaison between government officials, businesses, and community leaders, ensuring that the AMC’s activities align with the Governor’s key policy priorities and the organization’s mission to enhance Arizona’s ties with Mexico. 

Prior to joining the Arizona-Mexico Commission, Eva served Governor Katie Hobbs as the Deputy Director of Operations. Her previous experience includes work in the national arena, where she advanced an organizational mission across ten states to increase the participation and representation of people of color in government. Eva also served the city of Phoenix, working directly with city council and the city manager’s office to implement comprehensive city-wide programs. Eva proudly began her career as a teacher in the Balsz Elementary School District, and is a graduate from the University of California, Berkeley and Arizona State University.
