During the Fall Plenary Session in Hermosillo, Sonora, Arizona Governor Janice K. Brewer and Sonora Governor Guillermo Padrés signed the Strategic Vision for the Arizona-Sonora Region Declaration that pledges to create a strategic regional economic plan, making the region a unique environment while elevating the levels of opportunity for a globally competitive and safe region.

Governor Jan Brewer Selected to Serve as Member of the Federal Council of Governors

PHOENIX – Governor Jan Brewer has been appointed by President Obama to a two-year term as a member of the Council of Governors, authorized by the United States Congress in 2008 and ordered by the President of the United States in January of 2010. Governor Brewer joins 10 other Governors, 5 from each political party, as members of the council.
